Established in Istanbul by its present chairman, Alaattin Durmaz, in the year 1996 . Over the years, the company has strengthened its expertise in tanker management. M/T MANYAS was the first step in this field, followed by the addition of M/T DENSA DEMET then M/T MELISA D and M/T SERRA MERT and other managed vessels. Company has strong relationships with Major Oil Companies such as Total, Shell, BP, Mobil, Petrol Ofisi & Opet operating in Turkey and its Melisa D has been working under time charter to Total Turkiye A.S. since she got into service in 2002.

     Currently the company also offers tanker management services to its customers. The company is proud of its diversity of management and has built a strong team to manage the daily activities. The management of Marinpet consists of highly experienced individuals with various backgrounds from trading, logistics, finance, marketing and engineering.

     Marinpet is a niche player in the international market with a focus on chemical and petroleum tankers. Its regional focus is mainly Black Sea, Aegean Sea, Mediterranean, Europe, North and West Africa, Persian Gulf and Middle East. Marinpet fleet has a solid reputation among charterers, agents, inspectors and port authorities for being well maintained and the management is appreciated for effective and timely sharing of information.
